It is easy to get to Tyresta National Park by car or bus.
To get to the village of Tyresta, where the national park’s main entrance is, take bus 807 or 809 from Gullmarsplan to the Svartbäcken bus stop.
You can also ride bus 834 from the Haninge commuter train station.
From Svartbäcken there is a marked walkway to the village of Tyresta slightly more than 2 km in length. Once an hour in daytime certain trips by bus 807 and 834 continue all the way to Tyresta.
With the help of Stockholm Public Transport's (SL) journey planner, you can get prompt information on the easiest way to get to the village of Tyresta from the station or bus stop closest to you. Remember to enter "Tyresta by" in the "To" square.
By car, drive along road 73 between Stockholm and Nynäshamn, turn off towards Bandbergen and then follow the signage towards “Nationalpark”.
Parking and information boards also are on the north side of the area with the approach road from Bollmora as well as in the east with the approach road from Dalarövägen (Åvavägen).
From Tyresö the area can be reach from several directions. There is parking at Prästängen, Storängen, Brakmaren, Ängsudden and elsewhere.
