Winter is the easiest time to make your way across the marshlands around Angsjön lake and along Björkbäcken brook. There are no groomed ski tracks.
About the activity
When winter is darkest and the snow is deepest, it is good to have wide wooden skis. The hours of daylight are few, but dawn and twilight can be extremely beautiful in the winter landscape. Sometimes the moonlight can be so bright that you can ski in the glow of the moon. Watch out then for open brooks or cavities.
Late winter, early spring: Find out if the road is ploughed up to the Angsjön entrance. The crusted snow of spring can be fantastic for skiers!
